Since our founding in 1967, Konigsberg Instruments has developed a diverse mix of sensors that are designed to be permanently implanted within or around a variety of organs in order to facilitate many types of biometric monitoring and medical research.
These sensors are the preferred way to measure biological functions free of catheter whip, motion artifact, and especially the effects of anesthesia or confinement on the research subject. These instruments offer the highest quality dynamic data obtainable from any chronically implantable measuring device. Their use virtually eliminates the deleterious effects of pain and stress on the experimental results.
These sensors are purpose-built to the customer’s requirements. They will interface to most standard instrumentation amplifiers and to Konigsberg Instruments’ Biotelemetry encoders.
Since their introduction, nearly 40 years ago, Konigsberg Instruments’ pressure transducers have been accepted worldwide as the standard for chronic medical research. Designed specifically for biocompatibility and chronic implantation, continual product improvement has kept them at the forefront of technology. The design of these devices permits exceptional frequency response and sensitivity, especially when compared with gel-tipped or other canula designs. As true solid-state devices, frequency response and dynamic sensitivity do not degrade over time.
