Implantable Sensors - Temperature Probes

Extended Function Sensors

General Information

Since our founding in 1967, Konigsberg Instruments has developed a diverse mix of sensors that are designed to be permanently implanted within or around a variety of organs in order to facilitate many types of biometric monitoring and medical research.

These sensors are the preferred way to measure biological functions free of catheter whip, motion artifact, and especially the effects of anesthesia or confinement on the research subject. These instruments offer the highest quality dynamic data obtainable from any chronically implantable measuring device. Their use virtually eliminates the deleterious effects of pain and stress on the experimental results.

These sensors are purpose-built to the customer’s requirements. They will interface to most standard instrumentation amplifiers and to Konigsberg Instruments’ Biotelemetry encoders.

Technical Specifications:  Implantable Temperature Probes

Konigsberg Instruments has designed a number of miniature implantable temperature sensors. Four Models are currently in standard production: an internal core temperature probe, TK2/TK4 series organ temperature probe, and TK6 series brain temperature probe. These sensors are designed specifically for biocompatibility and chronic implantation.
